Ideas for Your Honeymoon
Deciding where to go on a honeymoon is supposed to be enjoyable and fun not stressful; but it can be difficult if not planned ahead of time. Honeymooners need to start planning their honeymoon as soon as they have set their date and made arrangements for their wedding. This can also be easy on their budget because the earlier they plan it the longer they have to pay for it. Most travel agents allow this option when booking travel through them. |

They allow honeymooners to place a deposit on their honeymoon package then pay it off within a certain time frame until it is paid in full. Normally the time that it is paid off is about a month or so before the planned travel date. Travel agents also allow honeymooners to cancel up to 24 hours before they travel and receive a full refund or a certain amount of time to rebook without it costing any extra money. Online bookings offer the cancellation up to 24 hours but the total amount usually has to be paid when booking the honeymoon package.
Where Should I Go?
Lots of online places offer honeymoon discount to places like Las Vegas, Cozumel, Aruba, Jamaica, the Bahamas, and others all year round. Most honeymoon destinations are tourist locations and people travel there all the time therefore the year round discounts are normal. Other places that aren’t considered tourist destinations normally offer discounts during times when tourists normally would visit in an effort to get more tourists to visit the state or island. Almost any place can be a honeymoon destination based upon the likes and dislikes of the honeymooners. Colorado, Alaska, and Aspen are known for their mountain and wintry climates but provide ski enthusiasts with a lot of ski related activities. Florida, California, Mexico, Jamaica, and other tropical destinations offers fun in the sun for honeymooners at discounted honeymoon rates.
What Should I do on My Honeymoon?
Most people depend on the honeymoon destination to give them romantic ideas about what to do on their honeymoon; but honeymooners should be proactive in this just in case they get tired of looking at and doing the same thing everyday. One honeymoon idea is to have a picnic in a private place. This is especially good if the honeymoon is on a tropical island or in a warm climate. The picnic allows the couple to be together without many distractions. A very obvious but important honeymoon idea is to not take the kids with you. Although there may be children already present in a family it is not a good idea to take them with you on your honeymoon because they could distract the couple from being together. Children are very demanding and need to be watched at all times, this would make it extremely difficult for the couple to bond with one another. Room service can be a very good idea that is sometimes overlooked or taken for granted. It is almost always assumed that room service is present in a hotel or motel but it can be a good way to provide food and drink for the couple who don’t plan on leaving their honeymoon suite that often. Room service can provide the couple with fresh fruit which to feed one another or wine to help create the mood. Sometimes it is a good idea to learn a new hobby such as horseback riding on your honeymoon. Horseback riding can be both fun and entertaining. Romantic walks and dinners can be great for honeymoons because they allow the couple to be together as well as enjoy the honeymoon hotel or honeymoon trip.
A newlywed wife normally brings some sort of lingerie to assist in jumpstarting the romance. This is obviously a good idea for both honeymooners because they both will benefit from it. Bringing your own romantic music isn’t a bad idea either as some hotels do provide a cd player in their rooms. It can be very unromantic if you are constantly changing the station to find the right type of music or listening to the wrong kind of music as you are being romantic with your spouse.
How Can I Save Money on My Honeymoon?
If honeymooners travel during off peak season, it is likely that they will pay less for their air fare, hotel, and if necessary their rental car. Peak season is when the majority of people travel and therefore prices are considerably higher. Most airlines offer discounts if travel is during the weekday as opposed to a weekend. Hotels offer the same type of incentive if the honeymooners want to stay for a week as opposed to just a few days. Another good way to save money is to maybe rent someone’s home or condo for the time period instead of renting a hotel suite or room. This can also save on money spent for meals because the honeymooners can cook their own meals if necessary.
